Technology and I have not been the best of friends the last few weeks. It started with my phone crapping out and then my new computer not turning on. I ended up having to buy a new phone, which has been fun because I haven't had a new phone in about 4 years. I have always gotten my brothers old phones. My computer I had to send away to get fixed. I was lucky to still have my old laptop to use in the mean time.
I am not techie in the least bit and having to figure out how to use a new phone has been interesting. All my old phones my brother set up for me and they were good to go. With this new one I have had to do it all. It has been good. If a little frustrating at times trying to figure out settings and how to do things, but it is good to know how to do it.
I am getting my computer back tomorrow and they had to wipe it. I am sad that I lost some stuff, but it will be so nice to have it back. Using my old laptop has been interesting. I call it the Beast and it really is a beast. It is so heavy and things do not work so well since it is 7 years old. I felt all fancy with all new technology, I still do. It has been a long time since I have had all new things. Being a student and then moving expenses add up. It feels good to be able to afford to buy things for myself and spoil myself a little.
