That New Band Smell

Hey everyone! I am a little late getting my November post up, but I have been busy with school ending last week and taking some time for me now that the semester is done.
With that being said, early in November I went to a concert with my man and his brother. I love music and going to concerts, but have not been able to go as much as I would like to being a student again. With the cost of tickets being ridiculous for some bands, it just becomes unaffordable (my computer doesn't think this is a word) on a tight budget. So we went to see a band I had never heard of that my man's brother wanted to see and he wanted some company so we agreed to come along.
Tried to get a picture of the band
I am so glad that we decided to go! The band was called The East Pointers and they are a Canadian band from the East coast. They are incredibly talented and I have listened to them non-stop since went. I love finding new music that is interesting and different. The venue was pretty small, it was at the Fox Cabaret in Vancouver. The opening act, Lindsay Lou, was also incredibly talented. She started out with just her doing a song a capella and I was blown away! I waited in line to get a super cute tote bag after the show that has Lindsay Lou on it. I have a ton of bags already, but I love them. The whole night was so much fun. My man and his brother are very tall (talking 6'7") and wanted to stand near the back so they wouldn't block anyone's view, but me being 4'11" wanted to be in the front. Since we were standing against the wall I was able to sneak up a little closer to the stage to see, but mostly I just danced and listened to the music.
At one point I got a littler closer and almost got crushed by a very drunk couple trying to dance. A woman standing beside also almost got crushed and then asked if she could take a picture of my man and I, as we looked super cute and the lighting was amazing. So I did get a super cute picture of us out of almost getting crushed. Such is the hazard of being so tiny at a concert.
As it turns out I had heard one of The East Pointers songs on the radio, when they started playing. It had topped the charts on the CBC Radio, which we listen to every morning. Other than that one song, I just danced and enjoyed myself. It was a great way to kick of the last month of classes.
I hope everyone had a wonderful November! Take care everyone!
