January seemed like it went on forever, at least for me. January is my favourite month

Ice Cream Cake #2

because it is my birthday month! After the disaster of a birthday party last year I didn't want to do anything this year. All I wanted was an ice cream cake. Unfortunately I can't really eat a whole one of those myself so my man offered to have a little get together at his house for me. I agreed and invited a few people. Somehow this year I made my birthday last an entire week. Each day I got some sort of present which was awesome! I got 2 ice cream cakes, thanks to dinner with my man's family and my own party.
I spoiled myself by getting my ears pierced again after wanting the piercing for like 10 years. The only problem was the earring itself. It kept getting caught on everything and it felt like it was squishing my ear. I ended up changing them early and the stick of the earring was way too short. After changing them they actually started healing.
One of the best gifts I got was a book on how to crochet animals. I love to crochet and now I can make cute animals! Once I finish one I'll post some pictures. The pattern is fairly straightforward. I just don't have tons of time between school, work and homework. I should be writing a paper and studying for my midterm right now. 

I realized I only have pictures of my birthday with other people. So only the cake photo this time around. I try to respect the privacy of others by not using names or posting photos of them unless they give me permission.

I hope everyone stays warm out there! It's chilly here and my friends elsewhere have been telling me how cold it is where they are.
